Family of basketball legend Robert Jaworski Sr. asks for prayers for his speedy recovery

PBA Hall of Famer and former senator Robert Jaworski Sr. was revealed to have been hospitalized last year due to pneumonia.

In an official statement from his family, they informed the public that Jaworski is currently recuperating but is having difficulty regaining his health due to a blood abnormality that he was diagnosed with in 2016.

The former senator who recently celebrated his 75th birthday last March 8, 2021, was also revealed to have tested negative for COVID-19.

Robert Jaworski Sr. trended on Twitter with the hashtag #DasalParaKayJawo after his family's official statement was released.

Fans of the living legend posted their prayers and support. Even other PBA figures took to social media to show their support for Jaworski.

Robert Vincent Salazar Jaworski is a Filipino former professional basketball player, head coach and politician who served as a Senator of the Philippines from 1998 to 2004. He played 23 seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association. He is widely regarded as one of the best and most popular PBA players of all-time. He was named part of the PBA's 40 Greatest Players and was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame in 2005.
